Inspired by the ripples created in the sand and the dark shadows in the furrows, this handwoven work speaks of quiet nights on the seashore.
The colours reflect the seaweed, seagrass and sand, with deep shadows. The finer yarns are pima cotton, the black is wool with other fibres. All are repurposed.
Sandwaves at Night is 22x32x3 cms and the frame is natural, untreated wood.
