I came away from my HOTHOUSE interview feeling very positive about my work so it’s fantastic that I’ve been given this opportunity. I have been aware since my MA that I just can’t fit my many and various weaving interests and challenges into one artistic box and have often wondered why I always want to weave something completely new. Why, I have thought, does my artistic style vary from collection to collection - and sometimes piece to piece. Well, clearly I’m regularly drawn to trying a new technique or ideas, so it was empowering to have the quality of my ever-evolving, always changing, work recognised.
